When placing an order, your card will not be charged until the order ships. If your order has not shipped, you are seeing an authorization.
Clicking “Place Order” multiple times at checkout will result in an authorization for each click. An authorization is not a withdrawal, but rather, a temporary hold of your funds for the attempted order.
If you did not receive an order confirmation: The order was not placed.
The pending authorizations will usually drop in 3-5 business days for US-issued cards or 30 days for international cards, dependent upon your bank. Note that there is no need for you to take any additional action for the pending authorization to automatically drop. You can read more about why your order may not have been placed successfully by clicking here.
If you did receive an order confirmation: All authorizations should drop by the time your order is shipped. At that time, you will be charged for the item(s) shipped. If you ordered multiple items, it’s possible that the items were shipped separately and your order total will be split into smaller charges.
